About me
After a stroke, with Parkinson’s disease or another neurological condition, the way we speak, swallow or use our voice can change from one day to the next. For many people this is one of the most distressing consequences, because it directly affects their connection with others. As a speech and language therapist, I work with adults with aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria and dysphagia, as well as voice disorders and orofacial myofunctional disorders.
My goal is therapy that focuses on what really matters in daily life: a conversation with family, a phone call, a shared meal without the fear of choking. I work in a structured, goal-oriented way, and I also take time for the questions and worries that such a change brings. I like to involve family members, because communication always takes two.
