Voice therapy & facial palsy — your expression back
Voice and facial expression are our most important means of expression — we help you regain both.
When voice and expression no longer follow
Voice disorders in neurological conditions and facial palsy are two different problems with one thing in common: they affect how we express ourselves and how others perceive us. Our specialist speech and language therapy in Graz treats both in a focused, individual way.
In voice disorders after stroke or in Parkinson’s we train volume, tone and stamina of the voice. In facial palsy we work on facial movement, oral motor control and the consequences for speech and swallowing — in close coordination with the therapy team.
What changes for you
Voice and facial expression are fundamental to relationships and taking part in life — improvement here changes how you experience yourself and how others experience you.

Ready to get your smile back?
Facial palsy and voice problems are treatable — the earlier therapy starts, the better the outlook. But improvement is possible even long afterwards. Come and see us.
Does this sound familiar?
Voice problems and facial palsy can have different causes — we treat all neurological forms.
If facial palsy makes your face asymmetrical, if your smile works only on one side or the mouth droops — facial palsy therapy is best started as early as possible.
If voice problems arise after a stroke — hoarseness, vocal fatigue or a very quiet voice — focused voice training improves quality and carrying power.
If you notice that your facial expression has changed, if friends ask whether something is wrong, or you no longer recognise yourself in photos — it is time for specialist therapy.
