Assistive devices — the right support for everyday life

The right aid at the right time changes everything — we advise on a sound medical basis and support you therapeutically.

What is assistive device advice and how does it support everyday life?
What is provision of assistive devices?

When support makes independence possible

An assistive device is not a defeat — it is a tool that makes independence possible. The right grabber that makes cooking possible again. The right rollator that makes a walk safer. The right orthosis that prevents poor loading and takes away pain.

At HOME4MOTION, provision of assistive devices in neurological conditions is not done in isolation but as part of the therapy plan: occupational therapists and Dr Svehlik advise together — therapeutically and medically. We choose the device that really fits your life, and practise using it right here in our ADL training room.

“The right aid opens doors — sometimes literally.”

Who is this therapy for?

Does this sound familiar?

Assistive devices make sense in many neurological situations — temporary or permanent, for support or for compensation.

If weakness, paralysis or spasticity makes everyday tasks harder and you need support for movement — the right assistive device makes the difference.

If you already have assistive devices that do not fit well, cause pain or do not work properly — we check them and fit them to you.

If after a stroke, or with MS, Parkinson’s or cerebral palsy you wonder which assistive devices could make your day easier — we advise fully and practically.

Frequently asked questions

What you want to know

The key answers at a glance — so you arrive well prepared.

Which assistive devices does HOME4MOTION provide?▾
We advise on and provide orthoses, splints, walking aids, wheelchair adjustments and devices that make everyday life easier — always matched to your diagnosis and your goals.
Does health insurance cover the cost of assistive devices?▾
Many assistive devices are covered by health insurance in full or in part. We help you with the application and the documentation needed.
How is an assistive device fitted?▾
Fitting takes place here in the therapy centre — by our therapists, together with Dr Svehlik where needed. We make sure the device fits perfectly and does its job.
Can I come only for advice on assistive devices, without a therapy package?▾
Yes — a standalone consultation on assistive devices is possible. Often, though, combining it with therapy sessions is sensible, so that the device fits properly into your daily life.
