Hand, arm and shoulder therapy — use your hands again

Gripping, lifting, writing — we help you regain control of your arms and hands.

What is hand, arm and shoulder therapy and how does it improve mobility and strength?
What is hand, arm and shoulder therapy?

Small movements, great effect

The hand is our most important tool in daily life — making coffee, doing up buttons, touching someone. After a stroke or in neurological conditions these everyday things can suddenly become impossible. Our hand, arm and shoulder therapy after stroke in Graz and Vienna works specifically to bring these abilities back — including arm paralysis after stroke or severely limited grip.

With robot-assisted hand therapy and proven techniques such as mirror therapy we train the mobility, strength and fine motor control of your upper limbs — high-dose, precise and with the latest support. Neurological hand rehabilitation at the current state of the science.

“The first cup of coffee held without help — those are the moments that keep us going.”
What you gain

What changes for you

The upper limb is essential to most everyday activities — every improvement has a direct effect on your independence and quality of life.

🤝

You grip safely again

Holding cups, opening doors, shaking hands — grasping exercises after a stroke help bring back grip and fine motor control. Even where the arm is paralysed we work with specific techniques to make movements possible again that seemed lost.
✍️

You can write again

Pen, fork, phone — the small tools of everyday life become usable again.
💪

Your arm becomes stronger

Arm strengthening after stroke improves power and stamina for every everyday activity.
🧠

Your brain learns anew

High-dose training creates new neural connections — the brain learns again to control the arm. The process is supported by the Amadeo and Pablo devices, which make focused training of hand, grip and arm function possible.

Who is this therapy for?

Does this sound familiar?

Limitations of arm and hand affect almost every everyday activity — from personal care to leisure. We treat all levels of severity.

If your arm is weakened, paralysed or spastic after a stroke — robot-assisted arm and hand therapy reactivates the neurological connections movement needs.

If Parkinson’s makes your hand movements smaller, slower and less precise — focused motor training preserves fine motor control and slows the decline.

If MS, spinal cord injury or another neurological condition affects coordination and strength in arm and hand — we adapt every exercise precisely to your situation.

Frequently asked questions

What you want to know

The key answers at a glance — so you arrive well prepared.

Does hand therapy help even years after a stroke?▾
Yes — the brain keeps its plasticity. Measurable improvement is possible years after a stroke, particularly with high-dose, focused training.
What is mirror therapy and how does it work?▾
In mirror therapy you see the movement of the unaffected arm in a mirror — the brain believes the paralysed arm is moving too and activates the corresponding neural connections.
Does therapy make sense even with severe spasticity?▾
Yes — we have experience with different levels of severity. At the first conversation we work out which methods suit your situation best.
Do I need physiotherapy or occupational therapy — or both?▾
We decide that together at the first appointment. Often both work in parallel — that is our advantage: everything under one roof.
